The Basics…
“A comfortable safe heated bus picks you up in Manhattan and drives you to the various locations before dropping you back off around Union Square. There is a bathroom on the bus since there are no bathrooms at any of the residential neighborhoods you stop by. You can also leave your personal belongings on the bus while strolling around the neighborhoods. The driver stays with the bus the entire time. Extra Tip: You can purchase priority seating in the front of the bus if you like!” Via https://www.cupcakendreams.com/slice-brooklyn-christmas-lights-tour/

What to expect…
“Once in Brooklyn, you’ll get to view decorated homes from the bus, but you’ll also get to wander the streets and snap pictures of the spectacular lights up close. It’s a sure-fire way to light up your Instagram feed! The amount of walking is minimal, so it’s really suitable for all age groups (and in all types of weather, since the heated bus is never too far away!). Among the gems are the Spata house, where it all began, and Sammy the Greek’s three-story, Vegas-meets-Brooklyn, 300,000-light extravaganza. Since you get to visit multiple neighborhoods on this tour, you get to experience a really broad range of the spectrum, not just the extremes.” Via https://madhattersnyc.com/christmas-lights-tour-slice-of-brooklyn/

One of our favorite reviews from last year…
“Our tour guide was Paula and she was absolutely fantastic, she was really welcoming and had a great knowledge of the places we were to visit and gave us some funny facts about the people and places, they also showed some videos on the way to Brooklyn which featured the lady that first started the Dyker Heights lights tradition.
The tour bus was very clean and had an on board bathroom which was good for the kids that were on the tour!
We visited Bay Ridge first and then went on to Dyker Heights. At both places we got off the coach and were given plenty of time to walk around and take lots of pictures. Paula and her friend who was helping for evening both walked around with us and answered any questions we had.
On the drive back they played lots of Christmas videos that were great to watch and once we arrived back at our starting point Paula and her friend were happy to give people directions to wherever they needed to get to.
I would encourage anyone who wants to do something a bit different or who loves Christmas to do this tour, I would never see something this amazing at home and if I ever return to NY during the Christmas season again this is something that will definitely be on my ‘to do’ list again.” Via Adi_Straza from Birmingham, England
And let’s not forget…
You’ll receive a large candy cane as you board the bus, you’ll listen to classic holiday music throughout the tour, you’ll watch classic Christmas TV specials on the screens of the bus like Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Sonny & Cher and more on the way back to Manhattan and everyone receives a souvenir commemorative tour magnet as they exit the bus at the end of the tour!
There’s definitely no “Bah, humbug” on this tour, that’s for sure!
